I AM A FAN OF BRIDGES and the role they have played around the world throughout history, their symbolism, structures, aesthetic and even the personality acquired by some of them.

…And because bridges are planned to overcome an obstacle on the road, reduce distances and save time. Because they stand to connect needs, interests and different realities. Because they promote exchange, trade and consumption, generating prosperity. Because they stand in favour of dialogue, tolerance, agreement and meeting. Because they are bidirectional, multiply possibilities and provide knowledge and progress. Because they pursue an objective, are created by people for people and have a happy ending. Because my surname sounds the same as ponts, the word for “bridges” in Catalan, my language… and, like them, I also work in communication.

I began here in order to pass my internship program… and I stayed for four years. It was a great experience where I learned a lot from my colleagues and I learned to develop many resources to do everything, quickly and with scarce supplies.

Surely the job of my dreams… I spent three years in this travel channel, portraying landscapes, people, cultures, the best hotels and gastronomy of Spain and in parts of Europe.

Reporter I 2003-2005

Two seasons creating news reports and social issues. The ones I most enjoyed: two on AIDS treatment with ARVs in Kenya and one in Jerusalem and Palestine on the construction of the Wall in the West Bank.

I participated in the creation of new programs, including one travel report I directed for TVE or the quiz show El Gran Dictat, for TV3. Also, programs with “product placement” for other channels, such as La Sexta and Canal 33.

I did not miss the opportunity to “move to the other side” and live out the journalist profession from where news are generated. I learned a lot about political and institutional communication, different resources of a press office and strategies that can be generated… And it was a pleasure to be working daily in such an artistic and historic building as the Palau de la Generalitat.
